Drift Coffee Co. is a fictional specialty coffee shop chain based in Portland, Oregon. Their mission is to make high-quality coffee approachable, sustainable, and part of everyday rituals.
Goal
The client needed a brand identity that felt modern, approachable, and eco-conscious to stand out in a saturated coffee market.
Approach
I conducted a competitor audit of other Portland-based coffee shops. Many leaned toward either rustic/hipster aesthetics or minimal Scandinavian looks. The gap? A playful yet professional identity that appeals to younger professionals and eco-conscious customers.
Results
Drift Coffee Co. was created as a conceptual lifestyle coffee brand for mindful creatives. The goal was to design a visual identity that captures the calm energy of the coast while appealing to a modern, design-conscious audience. The result is a clean, minimal system centered around motion, simplicity, and warmth, reflecting the brand’s philosophy of slowing down and finding your flow.
Drift’s social content layout creates a bold, energetic vibe through strong visuals, consistent color palettes, and impactful text.
For Draft Coffee Co., I designed a cohesive set of materials including the menu, business cards, rewards card, and stickers, to create a bold and energetic brand experience.
